Listen World (“the app”) is developed by the Listen World Dev team (“we”, “us”). This policy explains how the app handles your information. In short: the app runs entirely on your device and does not collect, transmit, or store your personal data.

Microphone and speech
To translate speech, the app needs access to your microphone. Captured audio is transcribed and translated locally on your device, using Apple’s on-device speech recognition together with the app’s bundled on-device translation model. Audio and transcripts are held only transiently in memory to produce the live translation for your current session; they are not transmitted off your device and are not stored by us.
Your use of the microphone and speech recognition is also subject to your device’s operating-system privacy controls and to Apple’s own privacy policy. You can grant or revoke these permissions at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security.
Information stored on your device
The app saves your preferences (such as selected languages, voice, and display options) using the standard iOS settings store (UserDefaults). This data stays on your device, is not transmitted to us, and is removed when you delete the app.
No data collection
Consistent with the app’s Privacy Manifest, the app declares no data collection and no tracking. There are no third-party SDKs that collect data, no advertising identifiers, and no usage analytics.
Children
The app does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. Because the app collects no personal data at all, no such information is gathered from children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction).
Your rights (GDPR, CCPA, and similar laws)
Because we do not collect or process your personal data, we hold nothing to access, correct, export, or delete. You remain in control: revoke microphone or speech-recognition permissions in iOS Settings at any time, and delete the app to remove its locally stored preferences.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
